Social-Image-site-snapchat1
Are you new to snapchat? Not sure where or how to begin? Would you like to learn the basic features of Snapchat? Well, let’s start at the beginning to learn and understand the basics of Snapchat.

After you’ve downloaded the app and created an account, you will be thrown right into the app with a few basic instructions on how to take your first snap. But there isn’t a guide to tell you what each screen means or how to navigate the app.

The following points will help you understand what each panel in the app is responsible for, let’s get started:

Here is the Snapchat’s panel Layout:

Now let’s go through each panel and what you can do with them.

Snapchat Panel 1:

This panel is Snapchats “Discover”. Here Snapchat and Networks like CNN, Food Network, National Geographic and others bring you quick news and information to view.

panel5aA.) Tap on a network you would like to view and it will auto play.
B.) Tap this arrow or swipe right to go back to previous panels.

And that my friends, is the basics of Snapchat. One thing I want to mention is that we are so use to a newsfeed type social media platform where all your connections content is in one location to see, but this is not the same for snapchat. You are only able to see information on panel 4 IF your connection decides to share their photos or video to all there connections using the “Share my Story” feature. If not, connections will share specific photo or videos to you when they want to. When they do the app will alert and show you their photo or video on panel 2.

In the next post, I will show you how to add a friend on Snapchat.
