Could Kevin Smith’s Masters of the Universe story continue in comics? Halloween has invaded Eternia, Mattel is dropping some pretty obvious clues about Two-Bad, and a fan-created Sun-Man animation caught our attention.
In Episode 005 of Eternia Select, Shaun looks at a new community rumor suggesting the story that began with Masters of the Universe: Revelation and continued with Revolution could potentially continue as a comic event rather than another animated series. Nothing has been officially announced by Mattel or Netflix, so this one stays firmly on the rumor screen.
Halloween is also getting closer, and there’s a surprising amount of Masters of the Universe gear showing up at Spirit Halloween and Party City — including He-Man, Teela, She-Ra and Skeletor costumes, Power Swords and a pretty incredible Havoc Staff.
Plus, the mystery surrounding Mattel Creations’ September 23 MOTU release appears to be clearing up, with Club Grayskull teasing what looks very much like Two-Bad.
Around Eternia, the official Sun-Man account shared a fan-created AI-assisted animated short by Nicholas McDonald, and we take a spoiler-free look at the upcoming Masters of the Universe: The Wings of Fate #4.
And in Bonus Stage, Shaun shares an update on Gym Bro Skeletor — playable now at PlayMOTU — and teases another experimental PlayMOTU project starring Ram Man.
Eternia Select is MOTU news for the generation that grew up pressing START.
